If you like using your laptop in your bed, this is a must get. Laptops can really overheat if bed covers or clothing interfere with proper airflow. For example, my laptop pulls air in from the bottom and flows the hot air out the side. For people who have the habit of setting their computer on top of their bed (mattress, bed cover, whatever) this means the air intake is blocked and the computer is going to overheat. Putting your computer on your lap will also restrict some of the airflow, so again some type of cooling pad is recommended.
I can really get my 15.6″ laptop to fit on it (barely), so pretty much anything will fit on this unless you have a 17″ laptop. Fan works, though I don’t really reckon it’s necessary as my laptop does not run that hot to start with. The fan is very silent, so if you use it there’s no concern with noise. Fan is conveniently powered with the attached USB cable, which can be tucked away under the cooling pad when not in use.
Only reason I am not giving this 5 stars is personal preference for gel padding on the bottom side for more comfort.

This does what it is supposed to do; keep your laptop cool. It is silent and ergonomically pleasing in that it raises the laptop a bit. When typing everything feels fine.
There are 2 minor, minor things to point out.
1 – You will be using a USB port to power the fan. My laptop only has 2 ports. I place the cooler on an older 1.2 USB hub and it worked fine with a blue tooth adapter also plugged in to the hub.
2 – When you open the lap top cover, sometimes the laptop slips off of the cooler slightly. A stickier surface on the cooler would have improved this.
Remember, heat is a killer for all electronics. If your laptop is running hot, you should probably have one of these.

|Keeps Everything So Cool!!!,
I just received the Belkin Coolspot Anywhere Laptop Cooling Pad. I am using it now and so far I can find no flaws of any sort.
It is silent.
It is light weight.
It does what it is supposed to do.
It holds my laptop neatly in my lap or on my table top and really prevents it from getting over heated.
It is perfection in a chiller!!!
