I purchased a HP g7-1310us (17.3-Inch Screen) Laptop and it was delivered within 2 days. I mainly use it for work and it has all the features I was looking for. The monitor is huge, which I love. The keyboard is big. Resolution for camera is awesome. It's very fast and I can't wait to use it everyday. It's pewter color and slim. Fabulous !

I’d bought this to replace a $350 Toshiba POS laptop (lol) for my 17 year ancient daughter. When we received it…we were both impressed at how thin it was for a sizable laptop (over 17″). As an ex-IT admin…I can easily say the most vital thing to look for in a laptop is the RAM, which will determine how quick (or slow) your computing experience will be. The hard drive size isn’t too vital with the large HD sizes currently available. Trust me when I say that if even if you’re a heavy downloader/internet user…it’ll be a LONG time before you come close to using up 640KB of HD space. That’s over a half a TB…which is a LOT of space! Let me break it down into pros/cons:

PROS:
Incredibly quick start. The “welcome screen” pops up with very minimal delay…even after a reboot.
Brilliant show clarity – I’d rate it equivalent to most HDTV’s.
Very quick downloading/use of internet
Style wise, it looks impressive & has the technology to match
Minimal “crapware”
Boasts 6GB RAM for a very reasonable price

CONS:
Makes Mom’s 1 year ancient, 15″ HP laptop look like a sluggish netbook (not that I’m jealous…lol).

All in all, for $529, this is an incredible deal!

OK, so to add some perspective to this I will say that I upgraded from a 4 year ancient underpowered Dell laptop with barely a gig of RAM so any upgrade would be a excellent one for me. That being said, I am still very impressed with my initial experience with this product. I got it for what I consider to be a very reasonable price – under $550 and less than it would have cost direct from HP, even with their promotions and dicounts. The 640gb hard drive is huge for a relatively ‘normal’ user like me; I have a digital photo album, about 500-600 songs and a few videos saved so storage is not likely to be an issue for me. It comes with 6gb of RAM so the performance is pretty speedy (for me, it’s lightning quick compared to my ancient Dell but that is probably not the case for many others). Set up was a breeze and it worked smoothly right out of the box. My only issue is that I had some older software that is no longer compatible with Windows 7 but that’s not an HP issue and it’s a minor point regardless.

So, I’ve only had it for about 5 days but so far it’s fantastic. As I said the screen looks fantastic – like the 17″ size which will come in handy when I stream movies from Amazon. The responsiveness and boot up times are very excellent so far. The other surprising thing, pleasantly, is how light it is for it’s size. I’m not saying I would carry it around with me everywhere but if/when I do need to go it around I can tell that it won’t be very much of a burden.

So all in all very satisfied with this upgrade and would certainly recommend this for any normal uses like general web browsing. Not sure what serious gamers would reckon – I imagine this isn’t targeted at them anyway – but I do play an online golf game with pretty excellent graphics and it performs very well. Hope my initial impressions are helpful to someone else.

Very excellent and clear sound,looks cool too,retractable cord is a plus,only cons with this speaker is not properly shielded for interference,on my toshiba laptop works fantastic but when I use use it on my HP Magneseum gray Quad core desk top you hear all kinds of interfernes,because my desk top have so many usb port that is occupied,the solution is if you dont wanna hear any interfernce, use it on your laptop or make sure you dont plug anything right beside its usb power cable,if not for this issue I would have give it a Five star …

I’m no expert on speaker quality, but these speakers have been a fantastic sound enhancement to my computer. I got them because of their excellent reviews, and also because I wanted higher volume while I’m watching movies or listening to music. They have a fantastic sound, and I like that they use a usb port for power, instead of being plugged into an outlet. They’re fantastic, I’d certainly recommend them to a friend!

OK, first off – these are inexpensive speakers so do not get them assuming they will somehow produce room-filling Bose type audio. For the price, they are incredible.

The box includes the two small speakers, a 3.5mm “RCA type” cable to plug into your laptop/PC, and a USB cable. These are both 4 feet long.

The speakers are very small and lightweight. They measure about 3 ½” x 3 ½” x 4 ¼” and the left and right speakers weigh 9 and 9.7 ounces, respectively. So these are quite portable.

Setup amounts to setting the Z120 speakers down on your desk, table, etc. and connecting the USB cable to your laptop for power. Then plug in the 3.5mm jack into the laptop, or your iPod if you prefer, and that’s it. The integrated cables allow the speakers to be 3 or so feet apart. The only control is a single knob for power and volume with an On/Off indicator.

The sound is brilliant, fantastic highs, nice midrange, and healthy lows. The lows were a small flat, and did distort with the volume all the way up. You probably don’t need to turn these up all the way though – The volume is impressive, especially considering these are 1.2 watt and USB-powered. That’s just 0.6 watts per channel. Frequency response on the Z120′s is 20Hz-20kHz.

For the price, compact nature of these speakers, and the fact that they produce brilliant sound while dependent on USB power, I reckon this is an brilliant product. These would be fantastic for anyone looking for some very portable, very excellent audio reproduction.

I really liked this item because of its overall efficiency. At under $ 10 it is well worth its price. Shipping was quick and I received itwith no problems and 3 days in advance to the deliver date. When I opened the box i could tell how light it was. Less than 1 pound but very powerful. My laptop would heat up so hot that the processor would shut down. Now with this fan my computer barely gets hotter than it’s shut off temperature. The dual fans are fantastic cause they cool twice as much and it helps. I like this product and would recommend it to anyone on a budget and who is looking for a excellent product.

I couldn't believe how quiet it was! Kept my Dell laptop nice and cool for longer.

My only concerns: The cord is too long! I mean is it really necessary to have a 3 foot cord for something that will sit right below the laptop. Seriously what were they thinking??

The other concern is that its slippery. The laptop easily slips and slides around on it, especially since my laptop is bigger (15" laptop) For the price though, worth it...

I bought this product because my laptop gets so hot that I can’t have it on my lap for more than 10 minutes without being very uncomfortable. I am nervous about leaving the laptop on my laptable that I bought because it is made of vinyl and I am worried it will start a fire. I was also concerned that the heat will fry my laptop. Within 10 minutes of having my laptop on top of this cooling station, the bottom of the laptop was really cool, like it wasn’t even on. The fan in the cooling station in so silent that it is hard to tell when it is plugged in. I would recommend this product to anyone with a laptop.
