Fantastic for Hot Notebooks,

The Targus Cool Mat Jr. (AKA AMD Cooling Mat) is a fantastic small device for those of use who use their notebook enough that it gets really hot. Especially if you set the notebook in your lap. Many notebooks will overheat under normal use or if they are on a surface that partially blocks the cooling (bedding, couch, pants, etc). This handy small mat may be your best solution.

|Excellent, not fantastic,
This laptop fan works well. There is just a design flaw in that the USB power cord is very thin. After about 10 months of use (not daily, but frequent) the flimsy power cord just fell off, separated from the pad. While I wish the cord was beefier, I haven’t found a better cooling pad (for the $$) so am replacing the broken one with another one of the same.

The laptop chill mat works fantastic and is powered by a USB cord that neatly tucks away when stored. I use it for my 10″ ASUS netbook which the chill mat makes more stable on my lap. It is nicely designed with positionable feet that you can plug in to fit your laptop size, to hold it in place on the padded surface. It has one fan and has been working fantastic for over two months.
