Does It’s Job, But It Has a Few Problems,
I bought this from Bestbuy a few weeks ago. I do have to admit, when this is working, it’s fantastic, it helps keep my small business laptop cool during hardcore gaming seasons. It is an HP G71, we brought it to Bestbuy due to an overheating problem. That turned out to be a waste of time, but I won’t go into details since this is a chill mat review. I don’t know what causes it, but sometimes when I use this chill mat, one of the fans makes a grinding noise, I can hear the whole way across the room. Sometimes it will stop if I turn it on it’s side and bang on it though. Also, the rubber feet on it are not glued on, and fall off easily, I recommend gluing them on your self before losing them. Another disadvantage is I place my laptop in sleep mode when I’m not using it, and my USB ports don’t shut off in sleep mode (some computers do and some don’t), so every time I’m done with the computer, I have to unplug the fan, and plug it back in when I start using the computer again. It has no power switch or speed adjustment too. But, when it’s running properly and the fan is not making the grinding noise, It is a pretty excellent product. When operating at a normal volume, I can hear it only a few feet away.

|Not what I expected..,
This is the first time I brought a laptop cooler when I just became a recent owner of a laptop just for school. It was a perfect size for my 14 inch laptop. I didn’t buy this on Amazon.com. I brought it at Bestbuy for $30.
Installation was really simple, all you had to do was plug in the USB cord to the cooler to the laptop and it starts immediately and powers off when you shutdown your computer.
I don’t like the fans, the two fans do not seem to keep my laptop as cool as I expected but it works. With the fan on, my laptop is about 50-57 degrees celsius which is pretty normal.
I really expected more from this cooler. But it works!

|It does what it is suppose to do…,
I bought this at best buy about 2 months ago. It is made of hard plastic and so far no problems.(I can see if you drop it or are rough with it that may be a problem because it is only plastic) The fans are nice and silent had to look closely to make sure they were working because nice and silent. Simply plug into USB port and your running. Very simple install. My computer Gateway shuts the fans when in sleep mode so do not have to keep unplugging. Also, the look is very nice gloss black, sturdy, computer does not rock or lean when on mat.(Obviously if on a flat surface). My only real complaint is for some reason like many mats out there the computer(my computer 15.6 gateway) never really fits the mat completely it hangs over the edges on each side but it still feels steady. That is the reason for 4 stars not 5. Hope this helps.
